A nice early 20th century banjo, this Vega Fairbanks No. 7 Whyte Laydie features a rare flowerpot headstock inlay. It has a 10-15/16' rim with a Whyte Laydie tone ring, tortoise plastic binding, and fancy herringbone marquetry on the rim cap. The maple neck has a carved heel and an ebony fretboard with intricate engraved inlays. Replacement gold Planetary tuners and a geared 5th string peg have been installed.
