A nice late 19th century openback banjo, this Fairbanks Curtis Electric model features a metal clad thin wood rim, ~11-5/8" skin head, and a mahogany neck. It’s equipped with a brass hoop tone ring that sits atop metal posts on the rim. The ebony fingerboard has varied pearl inlays. Other details include mechanical friction pegs with ivoroid buttons and a fancy ivoroid tailpiece. This banjo is in very good/excellent condition.
