Martin Foden Special D (1913)

Built by Martin for New York City guitar instructor William Foden, these instruments are highly regarded. This model features a 00 size body (which Foden called Grand Concert size) with an Adirondack spruce top, Brazilian rosewood back and sides, and a 12-fret V-profile mahogany neck. It is strung with nylon strings. Nice appointments include an abalone soundhole rosette, rope pattern top trim, Brazilian rosewood headstock overlay, and 3-on-a-plate tuners. The entire instrument has been refinished, and it has several repaired cracks, but overall this acoustic guitar is in very good+ condition. Signed inside of top "Foden D / 11/1/13 / FHM" More details...
