YOU can learn the secrets of this popular style! under the guidance of our own Elden Kelly.
In this workshop, you'll learn to use 10 basic moveable chord voicings and alterations to play classics like "Girl from Ipanema," "Desafinado," "So Danco Samba" and more.
With several variants of the right-hand patterns, you'll be able to create variety and interest in your versions, and see their applicability to fusion styles, jazz, pop, Latin and beyond. Right-hand fingerstyle approaches will be covered, but plectrum and hybrid pickers can adapt the patterns too.
Elden Kelly is a conservatory-trained guitarist, singer and composer. He is a professor of guitar at Kalamazoo College and a longtime popular instructor at Elderly Instruments. This is the SECOND of five separate workshops, to be run on the third Saturday of every month through May. See our "Events" webpage or the "Events" on our Facebook page for further info.
