MARTIN D-28 (1941): EC-, the eighth wonder of the collecting world, we offer this guitar (#77778) and 10U-4910 (#77779) for sale at the same time - a rare opportunity for the prewar Martin guitar collector! Professionally refinished (we're told it was done by Martin in the 1970's -- they also replaced the bridge, pickguard, did a neck reset and installed a rosewood bridge plate), beautiful quartersawn Brazilian rosewood sides and back, red spruce top with scalloped bracing, herringbone top purfling, ivoroid-bound body, slotted diamond inlays in 20-fret ebony fingerboard, original closed-back Grover tuners with butterbean buttons, 1-11/16" nut width, 25.4" scale, 15-3/4" lower bout, 3-7/8" to 4-7/8" body depth, really nice sounding pre-war D-28, with newer HSC (purple lining), on consignment (SN:77778)
