MARTIN 00-28 (1921): VG-EC, 14-1/8" lower bout, spruce top (lower bout treble side has a ~2"x6" piece that has been replaced), Brazilian rosewood back and sides, double ivoroid-bound body with herringbone top purfling, back binding and purfling have been replaced, 12-fret mahogany neck with slotted headstock, 20-fret ebony fingerboard with slotted diamond inlays, 1-7/8" nut width, 24.9" scale length, Brazilian rosewood headstock overlay, period replacement 3-on-a-plate open gear tuners with ivoroid buttons, reproduction ebony pyramid bridge (bridge-plate has been replaced) a fine players guitar that has had quite a bit of work done, recent neck reset, ~1" piece of the neck heel and the heel-cap have been replaced, the entire guitar is refinished (shellac on the back and sides, shellac over-sprayed with lacquer on the top), several top, side and back cracks have been glued and cleated, under the fingerboard extension there is an area of replaced spruce, a sweet toned and attractive player's instrument, signed by "C.F. Martin IV" on interior backstrip, with arched-lid HSC (blue lining), price reduced (SN:16635)
