EC-, 14-1/8" lower bout, Custom model with similarities to the later Model 27 Deluxe, with very flamey maple square neck, laminated flamed maple body, sunburst finish, slotted headstock with pearl Dobro logo in ebony overlay, ivoroid bound body, headstock and fretboard, inlaid i-b-i purfling forms "harpsichord" style panels on each side of neck, 19 fret ebony fretboard with winged lyre inlays at frets 3,5,7,9 and 12, lyre at 15th fret, wings at 17th fret and double dots at 19th fret, coverd back import tuners, ~24-3/4" scale, 1-13/16" nut width, spider bridge, "DOBRO" engraved on tailpiece and a lyre engraved on fan patterned coverplate between bridge and tailpiece, contact style transducer installed on resonator cone, 1/4" jack mounted on treble side, volume and tone controls with black mini knobs, chrome hardware, made in USA, we are told this was made as a gift for a Dobro sales rep or perhaps someone else who worked in the company, with HSC (burgundy lining) (SN:8 2677 0D)
