CROMWELL GM-4 (1935-39): VG-EC with a very small amount of top sinkage at treble f-hole, A-style, arched X-braced sunburst spruce top with f-holes, dark stained mahogany back, sides and neck, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays and white center strip, 1-3/16" nut width, ~14" scale length, adjustable rosewood bridge, replacement clamshell tailpiece, silkscreened headstock logo, 4-on-a-plate open-gear tuners with white plastic buttons, a very cool mandolin made by Gibson and distributed by Cromwell through a handful of mail-order companies, replacement tuners, with rough period SSC (purple lining)
