GIBSON BARNEY KESSEL CUSTOM (1967): VG-EC, Signature Model of the late, great Barney Kessel, cherry sunburst finish, sharp double cutaway, 17" lower bout, maple top with white-bound f-holes, curly maple back and sides, 3-piece maple neck joins body at 17th fret, 20 fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl bowtie inlays, replacement rosewood bridge base with ABR1 tune-o-matic bridge, trapeze tailpiece with raised diamond, rosewood insert and "BARNEY KESSEL" plaque, 2 Patent # humbucking pickups, 3-way toggle switch, 2 volume and 2 tone controls with metal pointers, Grover Rotomatic tuners labeled "PAT.PEND. / U.S.A.", gold hardware (some wear), black peghead with pearl musical note inlay and "Gibson" logo, white-bound body, fretboard and headstock, b-w-b-w-b beveled edge pickguard, 25.4" scale, 1-9/16" nut width, ~3" body depth, recent refret by our shop, fine example of this rare model, with black OHSC (yellow lining) (SN:891426)
