KAMAKA SPECIAL PINEAPPLE SOPRANO UKULELE (1930's): EC-, very rare high-end Kamaka model (possibly custom made), one long ago repaired 3" side crack (finish drip on back edge is from repair touchup), all koa construction, 6-1/2" wide, 2-5/8" deep, pineapple shaped body with round soundhole, early Kamaka spanish-style construction (back, sides, neck and top lock together), fretboard is flush with top, ~1/4" wide light wood-pearl-light wood purfling surrounds body, fingerboard and neck inside rope-style wood binding, 3 pearl dot inlays, 12 frets, 1-3/8" nut width, 13-5/8" scale, mahogany bridge, mechanical friction tuning pegs with white plastic buttons, pineapple decal on headstock reads "KAMAKA / HAWAII," round blue interior label reads "KAMAKA / SPECIAL / PINEAPPLE / UKULELE" at top, on left side it reads "HAWAII'S / FINEST / UKULELE," on the right side is "PAT. JAN. 3., 1928 / No. 74178 / Strictly / Handmade By / S.K. KAMAKA," at bottom of label is "MADE IN / HONOLULU / HAWAII," and underneath is handwritten "2136," on consignment, with OSSC (purple lining) (SN:2136)
