REGAL RD-40V RESONATOR GUITAR

ROUNDNECK - A very nice, newly designed, roundneck resonator guitar from Regal. Classic body shape made with spruce top, mahogany back, sides & neck, all in a vintage sunburst gloss finish. There are dual screened soundholes with three small port holes in between, a solid peghead with fancy inlay and chrome, sealed-geared tuning machines, and a dot-inlaid rosewood fretboard. Fan style coverplate and tailpiece are chrome plated. Body, neck and headstock are all bound. Neck width @ nut is ~1-3/4." The sound is generated by an aluminum cone with cast aluminum spider bridge and hard maple bridge inserts atop a "power reflex" sound chamber. This chamber is characterized by a sound deflector plate and relatively open body cavity to allow for a big full sound. Imported from Asia.
