Designed by a group of Martin employees to honor the many missing soldiers, both prisoners of war and those missing in action, and their families and friends. - D size body of mahogany and sitka spruce, finished entirely in black with single ring of abalone at soundhole. White body binding is bordered on top, sides, & back with layered black/white lines. Peghead has a silver Martin decal with the POW MIA flag below it and the slogan "You Are Not Forgotten". Ebony fretboard has a pearl flag and eagle inlaid at the first fret (designed as a special tribute to former Martin employee and Marine Corps veteran Barry Rinker by his son), large pearl letters spelling POW MIA from the 3rd through 9th frets, teardrops at 12,15, & 17 and a pearl version of the Prisoner of War Ribbon at the 19 fret. Inside the guitar is a label signed by C.F. Martin IV and the neck block is engraved to read "POW*MIA All Gave Some, Some Gave All". Upon registering the warranty with the Martin Co, the owner will receive a stainless steel bracelet engraved "UNTIL THEY ALL COME HOME" C.F. MARTIN & CO., INC. Other features are - modified low oval neck (25.4" scale, 1-11/16" nut), hybrid scalloped braces, black pickguard, ebony belly bridge, black bridgepins with abalone dots, chrome enclosed tuning gears, black nut & saddle. Geib style case has black hardware and plush American flag lining in the lid.
