PETERSEN "LEVEL 2" BOUZOUKI & CASE, MAPLE: Handmade of all solid woods, figured maple back & rims, spruce or cedar top, flat body with round soundhole, 25-3/8" scale length, lower string courses (G & D) are octave-strung, enclosed tuning gears. Nicer woods & cosmetic appointments than "Level 1" instruments. Exact appointments vary with builder's whim. Web photos are of in-stock (or most recently sold) instrument with lacewood headstock overlay, soundhole rosette and top binding, and black-white-black purfling around top. Fretboard is striped ebony with pearl position dots, top wood has some bearclaw figuring and there are nifty-looking knots on the back, rosewood bridge complements the lacewood rosette.
