PORCH BOARD BASS & BAG: PORTICO II - Launched in late 2007, this version of the highly popular floor bass system has substantially expanded the versatility of the unit. Made from a 10"x 25.5"x 1.75" board (dark stained pine) with a low frequency proximity sensor installed. Bass is played by tapping your foot (or feet, if you're good) on a tap bar which triggers the sensor. What has been added is a 3-way frequency selector switch designed to match the output frequency range of an increased number of amplifiers with higher frequency sound capability. The L (low) setting allows the very, very low bass (for that original Porch Board sound), perfect for subwoofer or quality bass amp usage. The M (mix) setting filters a mix of low and high frequencies, and the H (high) setting provides for high end, stompbox slap. Output has also been enhanced. There is a standard, unbalanced 1/4" output jack as well as an XLR output jack, both of which may be utilized simultaneously. These really do sound GREAT and add an amazing amount of depth to the music, especially solo or duo acts.
