MACCAFERRI PLASTIC VIOLIN

The last creation in Mario Maccaferri's line of plastic stringed instruments. Produced in 1990 & debuted at Carnegie Hall. This is a Strad design with body & neck a cremona-ish orange-brown color with black fittings. Bridge, soundpost and tone bar brace are wooden. Fine tuner on the E-string. Neck is supported by a through-body metal rod, which also allows for some neck angle adjustment. NOT the world's greatest violin, but it sounds OK and is properly made to be a fully functional instrument. Sold AS-IS because it hasn't gone through a rigid shop setup.
