The newest addition to Martin's Authentic Series has arrived! This Brazilian rosewood and Adirondack spruce guitar is a faithful re-creation of a 1937 D-28, one of their legendary pre-war instruments. The look is right and the sound is great - destined to uphold the legend! - Premium tonewoods, ivoroid binding, herringbone top trim, 28-style rosette, Delmar tortoise pickguard, ebony bridge with long saddle, aging toner on top, Brazilian rosewood peghead overlay, vintage style tuners with butterbean buttons, ebony fretboard (1-3/4" nut, 25.4" scale) with diamond and square inlays. 1937-era construction details add to the tone - hide glue is used throughout, neck is heavier and somewhat rounder than the Golden Era models and reinforced with a non-adjustable T-bar, top bracing is done according to the 1937 pattern, nut and saddle are fossil ivory. A 30's style hardshell case completes the package. Initial offering is limited to 50 guitars.
