STELLING BANJO PICKUP
Mounts on rim rods. Two sensors touch the head near the neck joint (with a bare minimum of pressure) and transmit the head vibrations to the pickup. Tone is full-bodied with great resonance. The 1/4" jack mounts in the banjo flange. Plug directly into amp or PA, no pre-amp is required, though as with all pickups some eq is desirable. Cord not included. A keyboard or bass amp gives the best result. Although the sensors do not affect the acoustic tone significantly, it is a simple matter of removing the resonator and loosening a wing nut, to back them completely away from the head if desired.

This very innovative acoustic mandolin pickup system incorporates a Kremona pickup element with the Mi-Si chargeable preamp embedded in a Carpenter style jack (which clamps to the edge of the instrument, with a maximum edge depth of 1-11/16"). The unique aspect of the preamp is that you power it up with the special Mi-Si charger which connects to a standard AC outlet straight to the output jack. 60-seconds later (yes, just 1-minute) the preamp is fully charged for an effective playing time of 8 hours!! No more batteries.
