UCL SERIES - Launched in 2006, this version of the PorchBoard is the most versatile yet. It comes with interchangeable heel supports of different heights to accommodate playing either sitting down or standing up. The floor bass system is made from composite board in which is embedded a low frequency proximity sensor. The frequency is so low that the human ear cannot easily deduce that the pitch is not changing, so the sound yields the impression that there is a moving bass line. Bass is played by tapping your foot (or feet, if you're good) on a tap bar which triggers the sensor. These really do sound GREAT and add an amazing amount of depth to your music, especially solo or duo acts. Unit has a standard, unbalanced 1/4" output jack as well as an XLR output jack, both of which may be utilized simultaneously. Low frequency amp required, bass amp or sub-woofer recommended. Dimensions are roughly 21" x 14-1/2".
