With this change it is not necessary to apply for CITES papers to ship the guitar to certain countries overseas. Martin is not currently planning to discontine the Golden Era model. Dan's ears were used to his 1946 D-28 so it needed to be extra-special! - Indian rosewood with Adirondack spruce top, Golden Era style scalloped braces with the X in the rear position (as on the Martin D-28 1941 Museum Edition), ivoroid binding, herringbone top trim, tortoise Delmar pickguard.
