Compilation of historic, rare French ballads sung a cappella by Cajun and Creole women, recorded from 1950s through 1970s. The tracks were originally recorded on such sources as reel-to-reels and laquer discs, by such folklorists as Harry Oster, Nicholas Spitzer, Elizabeth Brandon, and others. The material has been restored by the Origin Jazz Library. ($12.95) ]]>
