K&K DEFINITY PICKUP SYSTEM

Designed for stringed instruments with a floating bridge, and especially good for Maccaferri & Selmer style guitars, acoustic archtop guitars, bouzoukis & octave mandolins; and even cellos. The pickup is only 6/1000 of an inch thin and measures 1 3/4" x 3/4" total. It is a compression pickup because it is especially suited for wedged applications under the floating bridge. The pickup element is also capable of transmitting sound like a soundboard transducer, so the best tone is achieved if the pickup is mounted so it is partially wedged and partially open on the soundboard. The system also includes an endpin jack which can be mounted internally or externally as you prefer, and the "Definity outboard preamp" which focuses and strengthens the sound prior to sending the signal to an amp or mixing board. ($135.00)

L.R. BAGGS LYRIC "TRU-MIC" MICROPHONE

Baggs has refined the "Tru-Mic" technology even further to offer a stand alone low profile internally mounted microphone for acoustic guitar. The mic easily mounts on the underside of the bridge plate with the signal routed through a barrel preamp-endpin jack. The signal is processed onboard to minimize feedback issues and maintain a sweet mic sound with shifting dynamics. There is also a presence control to optimize high-frequency response for your guitar and a soundhole-mounted volume control. The "Lyric" is a welcomed addition to Baggs "Tru-Mic" family. ($199.00)

These are designed for the smaller diameter jacks found on factory install systems used by Yamaha, Takamine, Ovation and Taylor Expresssion system, but not the more typical endpin jack buttons used by Fishman, L.R.Baggs and others.
