Northwest Harper, teacher and instrument builder, Philip Boulding of Magical Strings will be giving a Celtic harp workshop on Tuesday April 16 from 5:00 to 6:30 pm at Elderly Instruments, 1100 North Washington. The workshop will cover: Celtic Harp - Lively Celtic dance tunes and ancient Irish airs--arranging, chord progressions, rhythmic patterns, catchy motifs, accompaniment and ornamentation techniques. Appropriate for all levels, from beginners to intermediate/advanced players. Philip Boulding-- (the 'Strings' half of Magical Strings)-Master composer, performer, teacher, builder, and innovator of the Celtic harp and hammered dulcimer since 1971, offers this unique opportunity for students of all levels on the harp to work with him and get an inside glimpse of his world-music view!
