The Williams Twins bring their "Songs of Hawaii and Western Serenades" to Elderly Instruments for a very special in-store performance at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 16. The Williams Twins began performing at the tender age of four. During the fifties they toured coast to coast with the National School Assemblies, bringing their music to schools across the country. The twins, (Joanne and Janis), studied with the Honolulu Conservatory of Music and the Norman English Studios in Lansing Michigan. Eventually, the two found the men of their dreams, married and settled in the Lansing area. Joanne and Janis have just released a new recording, "Songs of Hawaii and Western Serenades," which will be available at the performance. Everywhere they go, the Williamses win the hearts of their audiences with their singing and Hawaiian guitar playing. Their varied repertoire includes Western ballads, yodeling, novelty and audience participation. They currently play for conventions, private parties, Hawaiian luaus and various organizations.
