Hot Soup

"Their harmony and humor will warm you on a winter's day." --Victory Review Share

Friday , April 23, 1999
12:00 am
Location: Elderly Instruments
in-store performance (free)

The members of Hot Soup blend sweet, inventive harmonies on original and collected songs in a wide variety of styles and rhythms. From ballads to blues and nostalgia to novelty tunes, Hot Soup serves up a charming, high energy and totally engaging performance. Hot Soup will play a free, in-store performance at Elderly Instruments (1100 N. Washington, Lansing) at 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 23. At 8:00 that evening, the trio will play a full concert at the Unitarian Universalist Church (855 Grove St., East Lansing) sponsored by the Ten Pound Fiddle Coffeehouse. In addition to their vocal work with Hot Soup, Sue Trainor, Christine Muir and Sue Ribaudo are well-seasoned songwriters, solo performers and recording artists. Individually and collectively they have been nominated for, and won, several awards from the Washington Area Music Association. As the Victory Review said: "Their harmony and humor will warm you on a winter's day." They are sure to warm up a spring evening in Michigan as well.
