Duo-style is one person playing two musical lines of two distinctly different characters on one mandolin. Playing tremolo double-stops is not true duo-style, since the two lines share the same character of sound. Duo-style simultaneously combines a line played with tremolo and a line played with one pick-stroke per note. Marshall teaches in a gradual, logical style.
