A basic instruction method for the serious harmonica player who wants to learn the styles of Sonny Terry, Sonny Boy Williamson, Little Walter, Jimmy Reed, and others. First published in 1967, this book includes a fair bit of first-hand history on blues harmonica. Glover also covers how to choose a harmonica, and how to take care of your harmonicas (breaking them in, prolonging their life, etc.). The bulk of the book teaches cross harp styles, chromatic harp, bending notes, playing lead and accompaniment, and amplified harp. You'll also find a taste of the harp styles of famous bluesmen - including transcriptions and Glover's take on the keys of harps used on classic recordings. 72 pp.
