Includes sections on Jazz Age banjos and classic Victorian era instruments featuring banjos from makers such as: Bacon, Gibson, Vega, Epiphone, Paramount, Stromberg, Ludwig, Leedy, Slingerland, Majestic, Fairbanks, S.S. Stewart, Dobson, Cole, Schall and Washburn. There are also sections on banjo ukes, ukuleles, banjo magazines, early catalog covers, music covers, banjo recordings, postcards, banjo curios, and a fascinating section of original banjo patents. Separate sections focus on the collection of James Bollman and the minstrel era collection of Reuben Ruebens. The book itself is in English with a supplement in Japanese.
