His innovative style is obvious in the band Nomos. The instruction takes you from beginner to advanced levels. In the beginner's section Gerry demonstrates the basics, including reading music, chord shapes, rhythmic patterns, and dampening. He then uses these skills in GDAE tuning (with reference to the GDAD tuning system) using easy jigs and reels. Substitute chords are suggested to increase the harmonic colour. In the advanced section, the jigs & reels become more complicated. The combination of video & notation makes it easy to see how the notes are played. Play-alongs help with practice.
